OK let's go faster if that's what Spirit wants...

Getting the hang of this crazy pace of life, I find myself taking deep breaths and jumping in with 'gusto'. Some years ago, Jose Arguilles came to Golden Bay to give one of his inspired talks on the Mayan Calendar. I was honored to host his talk and play music at it.

A wonderful experience that lead to us getting to know each other a bit. He once spoke to me about time... 'Once upon a time...' Visualize a conical pyramid. One whole day, thousands of years ago, was the time it took to go around the base of the pyramid.

Now we are very near the top and one day takes less time to go around the pyramid so to speak. A simple explanation of the phenomena that we are all experiencing, of time speeding up. I asked him "what happens when we reach the top?"
 He smiled and said... "that is the year of 2012, the end of the calendar as we know it. The time then begins slowing down and we enter a new reality."

 "Phew!" I thought. Well, life has become so full of creative stimulation, recently, that all I can do is take another mindful breath and enjoy the ride. I am so pleased to be surfing the waves with such positivity.

Life is good yeah! I mean, I feel the lows. I feel the highs. And I am grateful to feel it all. Then in it's own magical way, one moment transforms into another and suddenly I am experiencing the now in different form.

The key does seem to be to stay very present, in the now, by feeling it all for what it is. Now, I am planning the future. That's funny.

Paradoxically, I am off to Auckland on Friday to do a couple of concerts with Caitlin. I hope you can come and see us on 27th and 28th April.

At home on the wild mountain in Golden Bay, I am really getting into recording. The massive shifts are leading me into ever deepening realms of music, sound and rhythm. In the last few weeks, my Didjeridoo playing has taken quantom leaps forward!

Very soon I will have my new solo album out there for you all to travel on like a spaceship going into timeless un-chartered territory.
